Telling Stories for the Joy of It!
I am a professional storyteller whose practice is to tell tall tales and true tales based on my own experiences. My stories are intended to carry a bit of joy, a bit of wisdom, or a bit of truth.
We are all made of stories! Stories are what we remember, what we dream of, and how we think of each other. And every story is a whole world. As the author John Crowley said, “with any good story, the further in you go, the bigger it gets.”
Put your feet up and listen to a few examples or see what other storytellers have to say about my work. I founded the Roadhouse Storytellers® at the Pittsboro Roadhouse in Pittsboro, NC in 2017. Learn more about this free event and see video samples.
If you would like me to tell a story or stories at your charity event, library, festival, party, or other storytelling venue, please contact me.
2nd Annual Old North State Storytelling Festival
The North Carolina Storytelling Guild and the Town of Cary are co-sponsoring the 2nd Annual Old North State Storytelling Festival on November 6, 2020. Last year, we had four sessions at the Cary Theater, and three of them sold out. It was a great show. This year, the festival will be online for Covid-19 reasons. And this year, I will be one of the tellers. I will be telling one tall tale and one true tale. If you would like to buy a ticket, which will provide you with 14 days of access to the festival, go to this website and make your purchase: https://www.oldnorthstatestorytellingfestival.com
